Government Sets The Right Tone For Modular Construction
Modular construction has come a long way since post Second World War and the instant-fix to Britain’s housing crisis back then. Taking a realistic view of the construction industry and its need for change, juxtaposed with the major advances in modular building since 1940’s Britain, the Government is using its purchasing power to drive the adoption of modern methods of construction. The Budget announcements have sent a positive message to encourage the industry to develop modular construction, with the knowledge there will be enough work on schools, hospitals and defence programmes, to reinforce a larger off-site supply chain.
